Carlos Luis Freytes Frey holds a PhD in political science from Northwestern University and an MA in political science and sociology from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). He is an adjunct professor at Torcuato Di Tella University and the National University of Hurlingham. He has received fellowships from Argentina’s National Scientific and Technical Research Council (Conicet), Northwestern University, the Social Science Research Council, Argentina’s Ministry of Science and Technology, and Brazil’s Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. He has been a visiting professor at several universities and Argentina’s Foreign Service Institute (ISEN). He has served as an external consultant to local and provincial governments for projects financed by the Federal Investment Council (CFI) and the Inter-American Development Bank. He has published on his research topics in peer-reviewed journals in Argentina and abroad. His research focuses include comparative political economy, natural resource governance, federalism, productive development policies, and the use of data for public policy evaluation.
