Mariela Magnelli holds an MSc in social policy and development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in history from Grinnell College, USA. She was awarded a Chevening Scholarship to pursue her graduate studies in the United Kingdom, having previously been awarded a scholarship by the International Institute of Education for her undergraduate degree in the United States. She has worked as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank; coordinator of the Gender Economic Equity Taskforce for T20 Argentina; coordinator of the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group on Women, Peace, and Security; policy officer at Women for Women International UK; and program officer at Womankind Worldwide in London. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in law and economics of climate change at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). Her areas of expertise include gender, political participation, and the environment.
