Victor Delbuono holds a BA in economics and an MSc in energy from the University of Buenos Aires and a postgraduate diploma in sustainable mining from the National University of San Martín. He has worked as an economic analyst in the technology, oil and gas, and mining sectors and was director of mining economics at the National Secretariat of Mining. In this role, he worked with provincial governments and international organizations such as the IDB and ICSG on the implementation of public policies on lithium and copper governance. He is a guest lecturer at seminars and undergraduate and graduate courses in the mining sector. His areas of interest include economic development, fiscal policy, transparency in the extractive industries, and public policy design. He is currently pursuing a line of research on governance and the development of linkages and productive capacities around lithium.
