Tomás Canosa holds a BA in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires and an MA in International Economics and Economic Development from HTW-Berlin. He is a PhD student in Economic Development at the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes.
He teaches at the University of Buenos Aires, the National University of Mar del Plata and the National University of Entre Ríos.
His areas of interest are economic development, productive development, SME financing and the impact of macroeconomics on industry.
He served as Head of the SME Department of the Argentine Industrial Union, Director of Economic Studies of the Association of Metallurgical Industrialists of the Argentine Republic and Undersecretary of SMEs of the National Ministry of Economy. He was a consultant for organisations such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Labour Organisation, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.
