Matías Gutman

Matías Gutman holds a BA in economics from the University of Buenos Aires and is currently pursuing an MA in economics at the University of San Andrés. He specializes in quality, international trade, and development. He was the director of quality policies and oversaw the National Quality Plan at Argentina’s Ministry of Productive Development. He coordinated the drafting of the National Quality Council’s first strategic plan and worked with multiple areas of government, business associations, and other private-sector stakeholders to design and implement the Annual Quality Plan. Prior to this, he researched and designed public policies within the Ministry of Productive Development, with a focus on improving competitiveness and the international role of Argentina’s productive sectors. He has taught at the University of Buenos Aires and has published papers on behavioral economics and Argentina’s export structure.
