Fernando Zingman

Fernando Zingman is a medical doctor specialising in paediatrics and adolescence. He is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires and studied social sciences and public health at the UBA, FLACSO and Melbourne University. He has a background in health care: he was an adolescent doctor at the Argerich Hospital and worked in health communication and public health management for children and adolescents. He contributed strongly to adolescent access to health care and the current decrease in teenage pregnancies.

He was head of the National Adolescent Health Programme and Chief of Health at UNICEF Argentina where he also gained work experience in Venezuela and Panama.

He was involved as an author, editor and publisher of multiple documents on adolescent health such as care guidelines for national and provincial ministries of health. Worked on integrated health, service organisation and mental health, specifically on suicide and mental health during the pandemic.
