At a time of accelerating technological change, Argentina has an opportunity to transform its scientific capabilities into productive development. Seizing it requires directing knowledge, investment, and innovation toward strategic sectors capable of generating value, employment, and competitiveness.
Development cannot happen without science and technology, and science and technology cannot fulfill their potential without a research community engaged with Argentina’s productive needs. For this reason, we seek to strengthen scientific and technological capabilities, foster applied innovation, and connect knowledge with competitiveness and sustainable development. This agenda aims to build up strategic sectors such as energy, food, health, mining, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology, among others.
Argentine science is world-class—yet much of that knowledge has not been successfully translated into economic value, jobs, or technology. To address this, we are working to build stronger bridges between science, industry, and the state: institutional frameworks that support science-led development, new mechanisms for collaboration between researchers and businesses, expanded technology transfer to strategic sectors, and greater private investment in science-based innovation.
