The imperative of the present is change. We are not afraid of it. Breaking with the status quo and working against common sense has been part of Fundar’s mission since its inception. We think about Argentina’s problems without prior commitments, with data and evidence at the forefront, and with the sole purpose of developing proposals for policies and public goods. Now we want to take a step further, from analysis to action, from the dynamics of public conversation to the logic of innovation and impact. The Argentine economy is dual currency. The origins of this phenomenon lie in chronic high inflation and disruptive events such as devaluations, public debt defaults and deposit freezes. There are two alternatives for addressing dual currency: dollarisation or strengthening the national currency. At Fundar, we believe it is essential to strengthen the peso and not lose the essential instruments of monetary policy: without its own currency, there is no nation and no possibility of development.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Labour reform and tax reform are at the heart of the current public debate. And that is fine. We need to change the way the national government and the provinces collect taxes, and we need to modernise labour legislation. At Fundar, we have a series of proposals for both areas. Argentine industry is not a single entity. We need specific productive policies that address the challenges of the green transition and are adapted to our reality. At Fundar, we analyse the characteristics of each sector and propose productive policies to promote sustainable development. The energy transition poses a major challenge for our country: making intelligent use of fossil resources to guarantee energy supply and generate foreign exchange, while accelerating the transition to clean energy.
